    Gorgeous rich colours and lovely subject. I would love a hen as a pet, but I don't think it will ever happen :(

    Hens can certainly make fun pets - as some of my grandchildren have found. They've raised 4 from tiny chickens, and besides having names like Scarlet, Daisy and Henrietta, their individual eggs can be recognized by the 8 yr old boy. They grew up being handled and now sit quite happily in the children's laps. Maybe you will have a chookie friend one day Frank :)
