This vacant land is surprisingly close to the city .... just a couple of miles from the centre. Flatland, which used to flood most years during winter, when the river burst it's banks. Due to ongoing dry winters, this hasn't been seen for about fifteen years now - and this land is gradually being reclaimed for housing. Oil on canvas over board 24" x 36".

io amo le passeggiate nei prati, bellissimo angolo e stupenda tavola. complimenti
ReplyDeletelasciami dire Alice che i tuoi verdi sono sempre molto rilassanti.
ReplyDeleteUn bel lavoro come sempre.
Such a kind and soft painting (with some gentle sadness, too?).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful palette to this one Alice. I love the field and tree on the right with the path leading to it.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful impressionist painting!
ReplyDeleteHarmony, sensibility, lovely colors!
congratulations!
To Graziella, Carla,Paula, Frank and Antonio ... thankyou so much for your kind comments.
ReplyDeleteThere is a quiet sadness - or loneliness in this painting - I agree, Paula. It is a forgotten place where only a few walk down the track to maybe spend some time fishing.
This is a very beautiful painting Alice!
