This serene winter pond, bordered by huge pine trees, attracts heron, spoonbills and other water birds during the rainy season. In summer, it is totally dried up. Sometimes the glow of late afternoon sun, actually throws a pinkish light on the landscape, but I have exagerated it here. Oil on canvas over board 24" x 36".

It is comforting to see something so serene and beautiful in the world of catastropfes (in Japan and elswhere).
ReplyDeleteHello Alice,
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful and serene painting!
Congratulations
I love the way you do trees, but I don't think that I would ever do them pink!
